Rides better than new. Why you ask? If you buy a new department store bike, it generally is not set up properly. It will generally not have proper lubrication in the wheels, and axles are over/under tightened and not adjusted properly. This means the bike requires much more effort to ride.
New Department store bikes will generally need extensive set-up to get a good riding experience (often costing at least $40-80 or more at your local bike shop). This bike requires no setup, and is ready to ride. This bike is very easy riding, low rolling resistance, you can coast for days! Great bike for the city or trails, extra bike to keep at the lake or cabin, or great commuting bike for college!
*** Buying Guide ***
If you buy a bike from me (or new or someone else), don't be afraid to check it over and ask questions. Make sure the wheels spin free (for a good 15-30 seconds or more), without the brakes rubbing. The longer they spin, the less effort it will take to ride. Check the wheels to make sure there isn't any side-to-side play, indicating the wheel is too loose, which may cause damage to the axle cones or bearings in the future.
