Just a few words to summarize our 2025-26 season. Thank you to Fr. Ron, The Men’s Club, Asst Ad. Darcy Stanley, parents, grandparents, players, coaches and all our supporters for what has been a rewarding season. Not perfect….but very rewarding. A number of parents told me that we have a “good thing” going at St Margaret’s. I have known this for quite a few years but it’s always nice to hear. We will continue to improve all aspects of our program so all our players are proud to be Highlanders. Looking forward to planning our summer basketball camp,( 5th-8th Grade), more open gyms and another successful season in 2026-27…….Jim Lewis, St Margaret Athletic Director.

We want to wish a happy birthday our one and only AD, Jim Lewis!

Fun fact about Coach Jim- He has been officiating basketball for many years. In fact, he was one of the referees for the first ever college basketball national championship game, which took place on March 27th, 1939. The Oregon Webfoots defeated the Ohio State Buckeyes 46-33.

I took a break from coaching this year and I’m not sure why. I love teaching young players the fundamentals so they can be successful. The No. 1 thing on the list below has never been an issue for me. When you are a coach, you will be criticized….the end. It’s part of the program.

Thank you to Dan Lewis for spending almost 2 hours cleaning our gym floor after last night’s game. It looks like a new floor. We’re ready for our 4 home games today…!!! Our 5-6th grade girls beat Holy Family last night and they are back this morning at 9:00am playing our 1st game of the day..!!!

If you want to become a State Champion in Free Throw Shooting, here is your 1st step..!!!!🏀 Win your District on Sunday, January 18th, Noon at St Margaret. Register in person. We had 2 Highlanders go to the finals 5 years ago. It’s free, light refreshments and it’s a great time. See you on the 18th at Noon…!!!
