Why does belly fat get so stubborn to shift after 40?

If you have hit 40 and noticed that the weight around your middle just will not shift the way it used to, you are not imagining it.

Belly fat after 40 really does behave differently. The things that used to work, eating a bit less for a week or going for a few runs, suddenly do almost nothing. I see this every week with people who walk into my studio feeling frustrated and convinced something is broken. Almost always, nothing is broken.
