There are so many issues to overcome when competing. Training consistency, making weight, performance anxiety, add to that you may get finished in front of family and friends when you make a mistake. Not IF, WHEN, because if you compete it will happen.
For a young person to take on these challenges it is always so impressive. Add to that raising funds for the battle against cancer and you have the makings of a CHAMPIONSHIP HUMAN, who is built through resilience and compassion.

Could not be more proud of this team today!!
Fighting Chance BJJ/Warrior Defense TEAM ROBERTO TRAVEN raised over $33,500.00 for Tap Cancer Out over the lifetime donations!!
We brought home some hard earned medals, and we learned....In Jiu-Jitsu and in life NOBODY wins every time, you get knocked down, dust off, get up, GET BACK IN THE FIGHT!
Thank you to our students, coaches,family and friends for making this day so special. Together, with our teammates, and BJJ community....we took the battle to cancer!! Huge shout out to Tap Cancer Out
for all you do in the trenches.
