Mother’s Day weekend sunrises w/saltwater, and soulful women 🌊💙

These surf sessions turned into something even sweeter, playful moments in the ocean, laughter in the waves, and that feeling of freedom you only really get in the water.

By the end we were just mermaids playing in the sea ✨

And honestly, it’s not always about surfing. Sometimes it’s simply about getting whatever peace you can at your own pace with the patiently held support of ma-oceans sacred rhythms. 🫶🏼💓❤️‍🔥

A little glimpse into the person behind Surf With Candice 🌊
Just a Jax beach girl who never stopped paddling out.

💫 These photos span about 40 yrs growing up around Jacksonville/Vilano Beach in the 80s and 90s to building a self-made life centered around the ocean.

One photo was taken at the old OG Vilano vacation rentals where my big family used to gather in the early 80s with my mom, trying to fix my hair for the photo, my cousin Casey and my uncle Danny… The last photo includes my grandmother, who helped raise 10 kids here in Jacksonville with my grandpa, along w/my big brother Ian sir ⚔️

🌊 I wasn’t some naturally amazing surfer. Life took me a lot of directions first, like years of traveling, working lots of jobs living on the other coast, and my little hippie era or seeing every state😅😮‍💨✌️
🏄🏽‍♀️but I kept finding my way back to the Florida water until surfing eventually became part of who I am.

💐 Super grateful for my family, especially my mom, whose patience and support never seems to run out.

💪🏽 Now closer to 50 yrs old, I get to share that love of the ocean with others and their families and I honestly don’t take that for granted.

🪩This is something I’ve been feeling and building for a long time and it’s finally starting to take shape.

Surfing isn’t just standing on a board, it’s learning to move with the rhythm of the sea, aligning your inner waves with the waves around you and maybe letting the sacred ocean guide how you flow.

🪘Wave Dancers is a space for that.

A small, growing community rooted in connection to the ocean, to ourselves, and to each other.

Had a beautiful spring Sunday morning surf session with my new friend from Peru🇵🇪🫶🏼I love meeting people from all over the world 🌎🥹🏄🏼‍♀️she’s from a small surf town there in Peru and I can’t wait to go visit her family there one day🙌🏽🫶🏼🤙🏽

The ocean mirrors our nature. ✨💧🌊

We are light and water, meant to move with the sacred elements of this Earth. The magical matrix of nature is always ready to meet us so we can move like magic with the waves. 🏄‍♀️

Our emotions are like the tides.
They were never meant to stay trapped inside us, becoming stagnant.

The ocean’s surface is always in motion, reflecting life itself. Like the waves, our emotions are meant to rise, move, flow, crash, and soften again. 🌊

We’re all learning how to crash gracefully… and how to let our emotions move through us with compassion and acceptance, so we can show up as we are each time. 🥹

When we step into the salt and the waves, we remember that feeling deeply isn’t something to resist. The ocean’s energy invites us to dance with it as much as we can. 🪩

⚕️I truly believe surfing is healing. The ocean’s coherent, resonating energy always meets you where you are offering reflection, movement, and a chance for emotional release.🤪

The waves are always giving us feedback about who we are… and who we can become. 🫶🌊✌️
