Saturday Health Tips:

Be careful what meats you eat. Meats are a great source of protein and healthy nutrients, however, it can become carcinogenic if it is burnt or charred. Be sure your meat is thoroughly cooked but not over cooked.

It is also important to limit your consumption of red meats or processed meats like bacon or cold cuts as they have shown an overall increased risk of certain cancers. The more naturally grown your meat the better.

Beat the heat and stay hydrated! Staying well hydrated is a super important part of keeping your body healthy. Good hydration ensures that your body works to its optimal capacity and that you have a sufficient blood volume. Water is the best source of hydration as it contains needed minerals but no additives that can bog your body down.

Remember, if you feel thirsty, you are already dehydrated so never let your body get to that point! Your body is 70% water so continue to refill it.
