Our final official meeting of the year is this Thursday 4/9 at 6:30. The kitchen is not going to be open as it traditionally is as there is an event happening just before the meeting.

We’ve got some pretty exciting news. We’ve purchased a new to us Formatic Groomer and 7’x15’ drag to go behind it. Notice the blade on the front? That is going to really help with cutting snow drifts and side hills. It’s a nice small machine that we should be able to get out just as early and late as the track truck we’ve been running the last several seasons, but almost twice the power. We would like to thank the Ragged Riders Snowmobile Club in T2R13 for working with us on the Formatic, and the Cochnewagen Trailblazers in Monmouth for working with us on the drag. We are looking forward to next season.

Meeting tomorrow night 3/12 at 6:30. As usual, there will be dinner available to purchase starting at 5:30. If you had anyone that likes snowmobiling in our area try to get them to come along, bribe them, beg them, maybe even threaten them if you have to. Now is a great time to get involved, you can get to know people and help out with summer trail projects before we get into the swing of next season

Unfortunately with the weather coming and the general lack of snow, we have decided not to open the clubhouse this weekend as we don’t think there will be enough traffic to warrant someone manning it all weekend

Just rode our entire trail system. There is definitely less snow on the east side of town, trails are passable but plenty of bare spots. Looks like we are unfortunately down to our last couple days without significant snow

Just got back from grooming the west side of town from the clubhouse to the suspension bridge in Hartland. As you can see there are plenty of bare spots, I would say about a dozen most around 10-15 feet but some 75-100 feet long. But most of the trail laid out very well and is smooth, but it’s thin and with the rain coming Saturday I would suggest getting out Thursday or Friday if you can.

Just came across this gem. Cooper and I have talked about the possibility of finding some time for him to make a comeback

Got out and groomed from the clubhouse to the suspension bridge in Hartland. Trails came out pretty good and the snowdrifts largely helped provide enough snow to cover some bare spots. There is some drifting along Bryant rd that you will probably want to go around for now, but I flattened out the stuff on Nate Richards rd off McNally rd pretty well. Still some bare spots so just pay attention when you’re out there. Enjoy the trails while you can!
