We are reaching out to invite you to be a part of an exciting opportunity to support and enhance the vibrant community life in the St. Albans area. Our Recreation Department is dedicated to promoting health, wellness, and community engagement through a range of programs and activities.
About Our Community Recreation Department
The St. Albans Recreation Department is at the heart of our community, providing a wide range of activities and events for residents of all ages. Our mission is to foster an inclusive environment where members can come together, stay active, and develop lifelong skills and friendships. Our offerings include:
Youth and Adult Sports Leagues: Soccer, basketball, Lacrosse, Swim Team, Master Swim, Kid’s Triathlon, 5K Trial Runs,
Fitness Classes: Stretch & Stability, Aqua Fit, Aqua Cycle, Aqua Jogging
Creative Programming: Community Choir for Adults & Children, Cooking for Adults & Kids
Workshops and Clinics: Nutrition, gardening, and technology classes
Summer Day Camps, Vacation Camps, Afterschool Programming
American Red Cross Aquatics : Swim Lessons, Lifeguard Training, WSI Training, First Aid,
Hard’ack Recreation Area: Ski Hill with Rope Tow, Miles of hiking, biking & ski trails, 18 Basket Disc Golf Course, Community Dog Park
Hard’ack Pool : Year round heated pool - covered in the winter, out in the sunshine all summer, 20 ft. spiral slide, Spray Mushroom play area, lanes for lap swimmers, zero entry, diving well and more!
Celebrations: Winter Carnival, Daughter Gala, Son Shindig, Easter Egg Hunt
