We got to do some randori (free practice) last week!

This was Andrea’s first time sparring, and she and Mackenzie (in the yellow belt) both did great. Mackenzie finished this round with an outer leg reap called O Soto Gari, and Andrea protected herself with a beautiful break fall.

We're working hard to prepare for rank testing soon. One of Sensei Laney's 3rd degree black belts, David Lay, drove over one hundred miles to join us in class recently to practice and share his expertise. Thank you, Sensei Lay!

Hello everyone! We won’t be having class tomorrow Saturday, August 7th. There’s an all day event at the dojo and many of us will also be out of town.

We’ll be back to class as usual starting next week, Saturday, August 14th. 🙂

And we're back! Saturday classes will resume THIS WEEKEND, July 24th at 10:30 AM at Champion Martial Arts. Visitors are always welcome, so feel free to drop by to say hello and learn more about Judo.

We're so grateful to Master Viggers and Miss Vickie over at Champion for working with us, and are looking forward to getting to know them better in the coming months!
