Our amazing member Joseph has shared his story with us:
“I’ve been weightlifting since I was 12. When I was 18, I threw a disc during a power lifting competition doing a 505 squat. I stopped lifting completely. On July 4th 2021 I threw out my back again this time the only fix was surgery. I was bedridden for 4 months. I gained a lot of weight, in August of 2024 my back started to hurt again. I knew I needed to lose the weight, in September I joined JD3 Fitness at 338 pounds. January 2025 I started the carnivore diet, I did that for 6 months, I got down to 298 pounds. I changed my diet, fixed my macros and counted my calories. I put myself into a caloric deficit, and increased my cardio. This year in January I increased my volume in weightlifting, to put on more muscle. Since then I’ve dropped down to 225 pounds, my goal weight is 200 pounds and to be around 9%-11% body fat.”
