What was once a daily struggle is now becoming a story of the past. The fear, the sickness, and the uncertainty tied to unsafe water are giving way to something new—hope.
"We can’t help but feel excited for Margret. For the years ahead, her home will have access to clean, safe drinking water. And with it, her story is changing—and this is just the beginning."
Thank you for sharing Margret's beautiful story, The Bucket Ministry - Kenya. Clean water can't wait.
Today, we’d love to introduce you to Shosho Margret.
We met her during our recent distribution in Kawangware, in the village of Kabiria. Margret is one of the first people to have settled in this community many years ago. Over time, she has watched it grow—raising her children here, and now lovingly caring for her grandchildren.
At the time we met her, Margret was living in a modest home with three other family members. Like many others who came to receive their bucket filters that day, she has endured years of challenges caused by unsafe drinking water. The boreholes and shallow wells scattered across Kabiria have long been unreliable, often exposing families to waterborne illnesses.
But that day marked a turning point.
What was once a daily struggle is now becoming a story of the past. The fear, the sickness, and the uncertainty tied to unsafe water are giving way to something new—hope.
We can’t help but feel excited for Margret. For the years ahead, her home will have access to clean, safe drinking water. And with it, her story is changing—and this is just the beginning.
