🥎🎉 HUGE Congratulations to SHLL's own Emmy Willett! 🎉🥎

We're so proud to celebrate Emmy as she takes her softball career to the collegiate level at Lake-Sumter State College Athletics!

Anyone who knows Emmy knows how incredibly hard she's worked for this. She could be found at the park almost every single day—practicing on her own, with her siblings, or with her dad. Countless evenings were spent under the lights on Field 1, putting in the extra work long after everyone else had gone home.

Beyond being an outstanding player, Emmy is kind, humble, and a wonderful role model for the younger girls in our league. And behind her every step of the way has been her biggest cheerleader—her mom. Emmy's entire family has been such a special part of the Safety Harbor Little League family, and we're grateful for all they have given to our league.

Congratulations, Emmy! We are so proud of you and can't wait to see all you'll accomplish at the next level. 💙🥎👏

Visit Safety Harbor City Park on any evening, and you'll quickly see why it's the heart of our community. You'll find our incredible Little League baseball and softball players doing what they love, while adults and other organizations also stay active playing soccer, softball, basketball, football, kickball, volleyball, and participating in fitness activities. You'll see volunteers giving back, families spending time together, and neighbors connecting.
It's not just about keeping the lights on—it's about keeping a community together. When the lights are on, children play, adults stay active, volunteers give back, friendships are built, and lifelong memories are made.

The lighting outages and after-dark field closures at Safety Harbor City Park impact far more than baseball and softball. They affect soccer, volleyball, kickball, adult softball, football, flag football, lacrosse, personal trainers, outdoor fitness classes, dog training sessions, and many other programs and community members who use the park.

Earlier sunsets significantly reduce usable evening hours at the park. When the lights go out, opportunities for recreation, fitness, and youth activities are lost for our entire community.
