📸This photo is new, even to me! I spotted myself earlier in the background of a fellow dancer's photo that I'd never seen before. This was taken backstage at the Davis Art Center in July 2014, exactly 10 years ago. I was very excited to see this shot--it reminded me to pause for a moment and reflect on how much life has changed over the past decade.

Without going into too much detail, this photo was taken on a day that was actually very challenging for me, for personal reasons, and I wasn't feeling my best. As a result, I really struggled to connect with my music, and my performance fell short. When I saw the photo taken of me on stage later, I felt even lower. Seeing photos from that event has always brought back a sense of disappointment. But this new image reveals a different story. It shows that despite the struggles I faced, I still managed to find a glimmer of joy and a reason to smile. It’s a reminder that even in our toughest moments, there can be small moments of light. 💖
