Tackling, block shedding, reads & keys, coverage, footwork, instincts, and on/off field leadership. In the game of football, Linebackers are the defensive quarterbacks and coaches on the field, beginning every play by giving the defensive call. They set the standard for every defense by responsibility alone. They’re usually emotional leaders who excel in leading by example. If they play hard, thei
r winning attitude carries over to the rest of the defense. We always hear about Quarterback Programs and for the reasons listed above are why I felt it was important to create a niche and shift the focus. Founded in 2017, Linebacker School is premier linebacker training. Helping athletes of all ages improve their skill set both on and off-the-field by leadership. TeachTapeTuesday - Every Week

My experience in football has been a life long journey. I currently only coach through Linebacker School. I've played professionally for the Green Bay Packers, Chicago Bears, St. Louis Rams, and the Las Vegas Locomotives in the United Football League. I am a Sacramento native, graduating from Elk Grove High School in 2003, also a graduate of California State University, Fresno. At Fresno I enjoyed a successful career overcoming a torn ACL to rebound and become the 2007 WAC Defensive Player of the Year along with first team all conference. Numerous hardships ended my playing career early but I still had a passion for football and was given the opportunity to become a Graduate Assistant at Southern Methodist University. Under the guidance of Tom Mason (Defensive Coordinator) and June Jones (Head Coach) I was able to grasp a whole new side of the game and became eager to share my knowledge with young athletes. With the Linebacker School I want to give a Division I atmosphere on the field and in the class room to give young players and advantage of learning the game to maximize their potential.
