We support an ever growing cycling community here in Sacramento by promoting competitive cycling. Each year we sponsor a major USA Cycling sanctioned Criterium and a Circuit Race. Additionally, we actively participate in other racing events in our great city and throughout Northern California. In the early years, Rio Strada was primarily a CAT 1/2 powerhouse with riders who collectively placed in
the top 6 of almost every race in Northern California. Notable past members included Mike Sayers, formerly of Health Net/Maxxis Pro Cycling Team and BMC Racing. Mike was one of the early leaders of Rio Strada Racing along with Sacramento’s own World Masters Track Champion Vince Gee. In recent years the team has evolved into a more well rounded team, delivering men's and women's teams in all categories, ranging from Pro 1,2 through Cat 5 Categories. Our team not only races on the Road, but also Cyclocross, Mountain Bike, Time Trials, and Stage Racing. Disciplines Include:
