Velocity Spin Center is the Foothills premier cyclist training center helping road cyclists, mountain bikers and tri-athletes of all abilities become more skilled, efficient and confident. Our spin based workouts focus on increasing your POWER / WATTS and are performed on your bicycle using the CompuTrainer profession

al training system. It's extremely efficient, specific, and it’s offered in a controlled environment for consistent intervals. Real time representation of essential data such as power output, heart rate, cadence, current speed, real-time & average values are given so you can monitor your progress. Our coaches believe their trainer workouts should be a part of a rider's overall fitness program. A supplement, allowing development of specific fitness characteristics, such as torque, muscle endurance, strength, pedaling technique, speed endurance, power, and both aerobic and anaerobic fitness. EDH Tri Club was in the spin center tonight. They are such a wonderful group of athletes! Tonight's focus was building muscle strength, pedaling efficiency and hill work.

Needless to say everyone was AWESOME!!

Are you using the same training zones you did this time last year? If you're stronger then you most likely are riding / training a little easier than should be and if you have enjoyed the holiday's a bit too much, then maybe just maybe you're doing the opposite. As your fitness level changes, so will your training zones. Your heart rates will likely have changed some, and your wattages will have too. Take the time to do an assessment at the beginning of each year and during the year to ensure you are maximizing your efforts.

I just finished the power meter demo ride at Bicycles Plus. Huge thanks to Brad and the crew down their for all of their support.

I have been training with power for over a year on my computrainer , but I now have a different perspective and huge appreciation for the powertap product ! I think their 2012 line up is superior to last year and I am sold! Anyone serious about improving their performance really needs to buy one and train with power. The deal BP has right now with the open pro wheel set is a great buy so I guess I'm all in!

To my lovely supportive wife, consider this my birthday present. ; )
