Happy World Breastfeeding Week!! 🤗
✨Lactation and feeding has always had a special place in my heart when starting as a nurse a long time ago. It now means even more to me having breastfed my own daughters. That’s why I became an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, to help as many families as I can reach. 👩🏻⚕️
✨Every single feeding journey is individualized and different from one another. When I started my own journey, I had to remind myself to practice what I preach and it definitely had its own challenges. 👶🏻
✨Feeding a child is SO hard. It tests your patience and definitely brings mixed emotions. There is self doubt, worry, joy, happiness, pain, determination, and much more! It is 💯 a full time job.
✨It is almost impossible to drown out outside opinions and yes it may be well meaning advice, but it is not always the best. As parents we need positivity and encouragement, not other people telling us what we are doing wrong.
✨No matter how much you breastfed your child, whether it was for one day or one year, you FED your child the best liquid gold ever and no one can ever take that away from you! YOU breast/chest fed!! This includes exclusive pumping and mixed feeding. 🍼It is an amazing accomplishment and you should be proud!
❤️To all the parents out there, you are doing an amazing job! 💪🏼Keep going, you got this, these days when the kiddos are small don’t last forever! ❤️
