FIT's founder, Bart Hightower, began shooting at the age of eight when his father bought him a BB gun for Christmas. That early spark for shooting created a fire of interest that continues to burn more than 40 years later. Over the decades, Bart has competed in many forms of action shooting including IDPA, NRA, bullseye, NRA smallbore silhouette and air pistol silhouette, smallbore benchrest, high

power silhouette, and USPSA practical shooting where he is a nationally ranked master. Bart also spent several years as a sponsored pistol competitor shooting for several teams in the Western United States. Bart has been a fi****ms trainer and range master for many years, working on both private and public ranges. He has been certified as an NROI range officer, an NRA Range Masterre, NRA Chief Range Master, and an NRA Range Master.
