Marco Lamothe, a retired local elementary school teacher, offers ocean trips on beautiful S**o Bay, just minutes from Old Orchard Beach. Striped bass, Atlantic mackerel, and bluefish are the most readily available species. Lobster trap demonstrations, seal colony and lighthouse viewing......striped bass fishing is our specialty. Enjoy the beauty of our coastal region aboard our comfortable 23 foot Sea Hunt center console, powered by a whisper quiet 200 H.P. Yamaha four stroke outboard. Coast Guard inspected for your safety and your host is a licensed Maine Guide as well as a licensed Coast Guard Captain.

October 4 and this bass may be the last I reel in this season.

That's almost a wrap on the 2026 Keeper Charters season. Two more scheduled trips + I am working on a lobster boat the next couple of weeks.

The mackerel are anundant and the striped bass are still hanging around, but it feels like it is almost time to crank my boat onto the trailer and take it to my mechanic to get her ready for winter.

Thank you for a great season. I will resume charters in early May when the herring and striped bass return to the S**o River.

Caught this 8 inch long fish while jigging mackerel this morning near Wood Island in Biddeford, Maine.. I think it is a false albacore, but I am not sure. Does anyone KNOW what species this is??
