Hello friends! I hope everyone has had a solid start to the year! If you’re a Philly or KC fan, I hope Sunday ends the way you want it to!
For the past 10 years, I’ve had the absolute pleasure in being responsible for running the best flag football league in the state! We’ve seen core teams stay through out some very tough years, as well as new faces come in and make names for themselves. We’ve seen turnover with new squads, and others leave only to come back the following season.
Because SMFFL is HOME to so many.
It will always be home for me as well. Only moving forward, I’m no longer the one holding the keys to the front door. The past couple of seasons have proven to me 2 things.
1- you guys are the most committed and loyal athletes I’ve ever seen. Enduring some down times and still sticking it through.
2- with recent life events, I just don’t have the capacity to run the league in a way that’s most beneficial to it, and to you guys.
So with that, I’m stepping back and handing the reigns over to someone who can really give you all what you deserve.
The new commissioner of the Southern Maine Flag Football League is going to be Tyler Janelle
In the coming weeks, I’ll turn everything over to him and he’ll assume the commissioner role.
Tyler is young, has a great team of his own, plays in numerous leagues year round in Maine and New Hampshire and I believe he’ll be able to help grow this league back into the way it used to be!
Thank you all for all of your support and help throughout the years! Thank you to your families who come out every weekend to watch and make the sidelines fun! You’ve been amazing!
