Would be nice to play outside but that could be a while here in Northville. Here is the action at Palmetto Dunes, Hilton Head pickleball center on March 14. Round Robin play on 16 courts - that is 64 players - in bright sunshine.

With so many of our members off to warmer locales for the winter, we are looking for indoor players to join the membership. We play every day, including evenings. Small groups (up to 6 players) can reserve time slots for exclusive use.

On September 11 we will have our first Mixed Doubles Pickle Fest in the morning from 9-12. We will start small, a dozen teams organized in 3 groups. Members should sign up through the HEJA app individually, get assigned a team partner and then should practice as a team till the day of the event. We are aiming to create teams with overall comparable competitive skills. The winners will be properly recognized at the Club party later in the afternoon that day.

We finally completed the large barn doors on the south side of the indoor court. Opening the doors provide a connection with the natural outdoor setting when the interior space is used for activities other than pickleball.

The indoor court has wall padding with historical images of Sacandaga Park. The imagery is placed so that it is the background when viewing a game from the social area - suggesting ... Pickle in the Park.

We are looking for some help this summer of 2021 keeping the courts clean and the property tidy. Two hours a day, five days a week for the better part of the summer. Work can be split between 2 people. Pay depends on experience. Recreational use of the courts is included with the job.

We did not finish by the end of the year, but one month delay under the current pandemic circumstances, is good. This past Saturday we had our first informal club playing session. A dozen people showed up and rotated in for some informal games. Many members had not played in months; it was great to get back, The court sport surface, lighting, radiant floor heating and the overall floor plan work well. Playing schedules and other membership details will be posted on the Heja app starting on 2/4.
