Owner Paul Lombardi is a fifth degree Black Belt in Ken-Ryu Kenpo and Wo Zhu Ken- Ryu Karate. Paul has a Master Degree and has been a police officer for sixteen years.

Awesome day today for some of our Wachusett Martial Arts students who took a field trip to a nunchaku seminar at the New England Karate Academy.

We had 3 of our younger students and 3 adults attend, and it was great to see everyone stepping outside their comfort zone, learning new skills, and experiencing different styles and instructors.

One of the things we really believe in at Wachusett Martial Arts is that growth happens when you continue learning — no matter your age or rank. Opportunities like this help build confidence, focus, discipline, and a deeper appreciation for the martial arts journey.

Very proud of everyone who represented our school today and grateful for the chance to learn alongside other martial artists in the community. 👊

A few announcements. Yesterday three students tested. John Gow and Lindsay Rainville tested for their second degree black belt and Lily Schiltz tested for her first degree black belt . After a grueling test in front of high level black belts from all over New England all three passed. This Wednesday there will be a black belt ceremony during the 5 PM class, All students are encouraged to attend. There will be goodies after.

There’s something special about watching young athletes push themselves to get better every single day.

That’s a big reason why we decided to sponsor the Wachusett Youth Lacrosse program this year. Two of our students, Brooke and Josie, are out there competing, learning, and growing—and it’s been awesome to see.

At Wachusett Martial Arts, we talk a lot about discipline, confidence, and perseverance. Those same qualities show up on the field, not just in the dojo.

It’s not about winning games—it’s about showing up, putting in the effort, supporting your teammates, and becoming a better version of yourself each time you step out there.

Proud of these two and all the kids in the program who are putting in the work. Keep going. 💪🥍
