We staged a successful Triples gala on Wednesday which attracted 12 teams and which ended in an exciting finish. Congratulations to Elaine Upton & Helen Tilley on reaching the final of the EWBF championships at Skegness today. They beat Humberside & Durham but lost 22-20 to Suffolk.

Congratulations to Helen Tilley & Elaine Upton who won the NWBF women’s pairs on Sunday & to Chris Ford who retained the two bowl singles title. Commiserations to Elizabeth Wallace who came away empty handed after qualifying for three finals.

The combination of Mike Ramsden, Tony Barwell, Ken White ( all Empingham) and Keith Rippin (Blackstones) won the Ketton EBA Fours gala, which attracted 12 teams and helped raise a good sum for club funds. Thanks to all those who helped and took part. Forms are available for the next (triples) gala on August 31.
