As of July 2, the Cross Country Course at the Kennels is closed until July 8. Tuesday July 7,we will be setting the course for our field hunter trials happening on September 26, 2026. It will reopen July 8 and we encourage everyone to come practice.

Join the Green Creek Hounds and Tryon Equine DVM Dr. Ellison Aldrich for an educational evening 5:00 pm Thursday, June 18 at the FENCE house. One hour lecture on the Equine hoof and related joints followed by Q & A. Pitch-in/pizza and refreshments provided by GCH to follow.

Green Creek Hounds had a very successful weekend at the Virginia Foxhound Show.

In the Unentered Dog class, Handy earned 1st, with Haggis placing 3rd, followed by Sedgefield Hellfire (littermate) taking 4th. Handy & Haggis also went on to win 1st Couple of Unentered Dogs.

Our unentered bi***es also had a great day, with Halsey placing 2nd, behind Moore County Godot (littermate), Halfpint earning 3rd, and Hattie taking 4th. Halsey and Hattie were also awarded 1st Couple of Unentered Bi***es.

In the entered classes, Panfish and Phoenicia won 1st Couple of Entered Bi***es, and Phoenicia was awarded 1st Brood Bitch.

To finish the weekend, Handy was named Reserve Champion Unentered PMD, behind his littermate, Moore County Godot.

It was especially rewarding to see Phoenicia represented so well this weekend with her top quality produce, sired by Moore County Draggin, dominating the show ring.

Thank you, to everyone involved in preparing, presenting, and supporting the hounds throughout the weekend. It was a great show and a fun few days spent with friends and fellow foxhunters.
