Nathan Tang’s Big Day Propels R-S Central Varsity Hilltoppers Past Draughn

Nathan Tang drove in five runs on one hit to lead R-S Central Varsity Hilltoppers past Draughn 10-0 on Friday. In the first inning, Nathan Tang hit a grand slam to left field.
R-S Central Varsity Hilltoppers added one run in the second. R-S Central Varsity Hilltoppers scored on a wild pitch, making the score 5-0.
R-S Central Varsity Hilltoppers scored five runs on four hits in the top of the third inning. Nathan Tang was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, Jacob McDaniel singled, scoring two runs, Carter Austin grounded out, scoring one run, and Rylan Holley singled, scoring one run.
Austin Hopper earned the win for R-S Central Varsity Hilltoppers. The starter allowed one hit and zero runs over four innings, striking out eight and walking one. CHase Yambor took the loss for Draughn. The starter went two innings, surrendering nine runs on three hits, striking out six and walking three. Xavier Trejo tossed one inning of scoreless ball for R-S Central Varsity Hilltoppers in relief. The pitcher allowed zero hits, striking out two and walking one.
Nathan Tang, Brody Fowler, Rylan Holley, Jacob McDaniel, and Carter Cobb each collected one hit for R-S Central Varsity Hilltoppers. Carter Cobb stole two bases. R-S Central Varsity Hilltoppers stole five bases in the game. R-S Central Varsity Hilltoppers didn't commit a single error in the field. Rylan Holley had the most chances in the field with 10.
David Burnette led Draughn with one hit in one at bat. Draughn turned one double play in the game. Draughn were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Ian Meadows made the most plays with eight.
R-S Central Varsity Hilltoppers will travel to CHASE for their next game on Tuesday.
