Nathan Tang’s Big Day Propels R-S Central Varsity Hilltoppers Past Draughn

Nathan Tang drove in five runs on one hit to lead R-S Central Varsity Hilltoppers past Draughn 10-0 on Friday. In the first inning, Nathan Tang hit a grand slam to left field.

R-S Central Varsity Hilltoppers added one run in the second. R-S Central Varsity Hilltoppers scored on a wild pitch, making the score 5-0.

R-S Central Varsity Hilltoppers scored five runs on four hits in the top of the third inning. Nathan Tang was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, Jacob McDaniel singled, scoring two runs, Carter Austin grounded out, scoring one run, and Rylan Holley singled, scoring one run.

Austin Hopper earned the win for R-S Central Varsity Hilltoppers. The starter allowed one hit and zero runs over four innings, striking out eight and walking one. CHase Yambor took the loss for Draughn. The starter went two innings, surrendering nine runs on three hits, striking out six and walking three. Xavier Trejo tossed one inning of scoreless ball for R-S Central Varsity Hilltoppers in relief. The pitcher allowed zero hits, striking out two and walking one.

Nathan Tang, Brody Fowler, Rylan Holley, Jacob McDaniel, and Carter Cobb each collected one hit for R-S Central Varsity Hilltoppers. Carter Cobb stole two bases. R-S Central Varsity Hilltoppers stole five bases in the game. R-S Central Varsity Hilltoppers didn't commit a single error in the field. Rylan Holley had the most chances in the field with 10.

David Burnette led Draughn with one hit in one at bat. Draughn turned one double play in the game. Draughn were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Ian Meadows made the most plays with eight.

R-S Central Varsity Hilltoppers will travel to CHASE for their next game on Tuesday.

R-S Central Varsity Hilltoppers Victorious Over Draughn

R-S Central Varsity Hilltoppers were victorious against Draughn 5-2 on Tuesday.

A ground out by Brody Fowler put R-S Central Varsity Hilltoppers on the board in the bottom of the first.

R-S Central Varsity Hilltoppers added one run in the third. Draughn committed an error, making the score 2-0.

Hunter Ellis grounded out, which helped Draughn tie the game at two in the top of the fourth.

R-S Central Varsity Hilltoppers jumped back into the lead in the bottom of the fourth inning after Rylan Holley singled, Zane Loven flew out, and Carter Cobb singled to left field, each scoring one run.

Simon Sheehan earned the win for R-S Central Varsity Hilltoppers. The pitcher gave up five hits and two runs (zero earned) over seven innings, striking out five and walking one. Tyler Lange took the loss for Draughn. The pitcher went two innings, allowing zero runs on zero hits, striking out two and walking one. Nolan Ballard led things off on the hill for Draughn. The hurler allowed seven hits and five runs (three earned) over four innings, striking out four and walking three.

Rylan Holley and Carter Cobb each collected two hits for R-S Central Varsity Hilltoppers. Brody Fowler and Rylan Holley each drove in one run for R-S Central Varsity Hilltoppers.

Wyatt Bonorden went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Draughn in hits.

R-S Central Varsity Hilltoppers will travel to Draughn for their next game on Friday.

R-S Central Varsity Hilltoppers won big over Mountain Heritage 9-1 on Friday.

An error put R-S Central Varsity Hilltoppers on the board in the bottom of the first.

R-S Central Varsity Hilltoppers added two runs in the second. Zane Loven doubled down the left field line, making the score 4-0.

R-S Central Varsity Hilltoppers added one run in the third. Austin Hopper hit a sacrifice fly, making the score 5-0.

Austin Hopper earned the win for R-S Central Varsity Hilltoppers. The hurler gave up one hit and zero runs over four innings, striking out six and walking none. Carter Bennett took the loss for Mountain Heritage. The starting pitcher went three innings, allowing five runs (one earned) on three hits, striking out four and walking three. Xavier Trejo tossed one inning of zero-run ball for R-S Central Varsity Hilltoppers in relief. The pitcher gave up one hit, striking out one and walking none.

Rylan Holley led R-S Central Varsity Hilltoppers with two hits in three at bats from the leadoff position. Nathan Tang, Austin Hopper, Loven, and Carter Cobb each drove in one run for R-S Central Varsity Hilltoppers. R-S Central Varsity Hilltoppers had patience at the plate, tallying eight walks for the game. Nathan Tang and Brody Fowler led the team with two bases on balls each. R-S Central Varsity Hilltoppers ran wild on the base paths, amassing five stolen bases for the game.

Number eight hitter, Mason Silvers, showed the depth of Mountain Heritage's lineup, by leading them with two hits in three at bats. Cason Jones led the team with one run batted in.

R-S Central Varsity Hilltoppers play at home on Tuesday against Draughn in their next game.
