Well, today is the day the Rustburg Track Family has been waiting for its championship today. These athletes have been training and grinding for a year. Today's the day where all the hard work pays off for these athletes. Good luck, athletes.

Results from the Region 3C Track Championship. The boys finished 3rd and the girls finished 6th overall.

Event winners:
Alex Dunn won the 300 meter hurdles and the 110 meter hurdles

Alexis Braxton won the 200 meter dash and was runner up in the 100 meter dash

Blake Matthewson placed 3rd in the 110 and placed 3rd in the 300 meter hurdles

Lucas Ripley placed 3rd in the 1600 meter run

Telaina Calloway placed 8th in the long jump

The girls 4x8 relay consisted of Emery Crabtree, Ilana Justice, Melissa Bingham and Emerson Garner placed 3rd to qualified for the State Track Championships

The boys 4x8 relay consisted of Zeb Goldman, Noah Wells, Adam Wells and Braeden Hall qualified for the State Track Championship

Region 3C Track Championship at at Wilson Memorial High School will continue tomorrow morning at 9:00am. Running events will start at 10:00am on a rolling schedule. The bus will leave from RHS at 6:15am tomorrow morning.
