Now that the dust has settled (at least hopefully soon if we get some rain tonight!) from the KSSCA State FITASC, 5-Stand & West KS Super Sport Championship, we’ve had a moment to reflect—and we just want to say thank you.
It takes a tremendous amount of effort to pull off a shoot like this, and we’re incredibly grateful for everyone who played a part.
Thank you to our target setters for creating courses that were challenging, fair, and fun (Brent and Andrew Fleming of GP TRAPS LLC., Nate Petersen of Shooters Sporting Clays, Drew Ricketts, and Nathan Flanagan).
We’re also incredibly thankful for all of our sponsors—your support helps make this event possible.
A huge thank you to our trappers, including:
• FHSU Shotgun Sports and Coaches Jerrod Lies and Damian Giles
• Fort Hays Tech Northwest Shooting Sports and Coaches Jonah and Jon McClung and Melvin Crow (giant shoutout to Jon and Jonah for running MAB all weekend!)
• Hays High Shooting Team
• And all of the individuals who stepped up and put in the time
Your hard work does not go unnoticed—we truly couldn’t do this without you.
Shout out to Emily MilTrue Pair Photographyography for capturing so many great moments throughout the week—be sure to check out the galleries and relive the shoot.
Thank you to the Russell-Grant Fire Department for helping keep the dust under control throughout the tournament.
Thank you to the Russell County road crew for maintaining the roads and ensuring smooth access for all of our guests.
Thank you to Jason and Larissa Spengle for all of your assistance, and thank you to KatiScore Chaser Chaser for running our registration. Thank you also to Jake Neely and Josh Bartel for all of your help along the way.
To our staff and family, thank you for the long days, early mornings, and constant effort behind the scenes. This event runs because of you.
And finally, thank you to all of the shooters, sponsors, and supporters who came out to be part of the weekend. Your support and sportsmanship are what make this event special year after year. We’re proud to host this championship and even more proud of the community that makes it possible.
We hope everyone made it home safely—and we’re already looking forward to seeing you back on the course!
