It's always fun watching someone catch their first tarpon, but it's even better when you can finish the day with a Grand Slam!

Joey Andello and crew put together an unforgettable day on the water, starting with Joey's first-ever tarpon and capping it off with a Tampa Bay Grand Slam. Watching someone experience the power and excitement of a tarpon for the first time never gets old, and adding a snook, redfish, and trout to complete the slam made the day even more special.

Tournament Time!

Yesterday we fished the Duke's Big Kahuna Tournament out of Hula Bay, and it was a special one. I fished alongside my son Braiden and good friends Unreel fishing charters and Austin Eaton.

Braiden took 1st Place in the Youth Division, and I was fortunate to bring home 1st Place Snook, 2nd Place Slam, and 3rd Place Redfish.

But the trophies aren't what make the day memorable, it's spending time fishing with family and good friends.

Congratulations to all the other winners, and thank you to for putting on another great event.

What a great couple of days on the water with Randy and Jerry! These guys checked off some true bucket-list catches this week, including giant tarpon, cobia, and a variety of other awesome Tampa Bay species. The bite has been hot, and the memories made were even better.
