Deer season was in full swing for the Thursday Trap League. Kevin is taking aim at a nice 10 pointer in full velvet. The 2 does are watching from the rifle berm completely confident that he would miss.

Kevin Lux had the only 25 this week (shooting homemade shot). This will help close the overall gap between him and Matt Wright. I still don't think he can overcome the total gap before this season ends. Stay tuned as the saga continues.

Gavin Runkle shot a 24 edging out Keaton Runkle by one. I really wish Rushville had been in the Illinois State High School Clay Target League when these guys were in school.

If your last name is Norris, it was better to be the younger version last night. Hunter smoked his Dad by 1 target. 24 for Hunter and 23 for Brandon. I'm free if you need a lesson, Brandon.
Kinley Price also shot a 23. Her Dad didn't fair as well as Hunter's Dad. I guess he had buck fever. However you cut it Kids rule Dads drool.

Mike Cook beat all of us at the Jacksonville Sportsman Club in a round of sporting clays last Sunday. Yesterday wasn't his day. He pulled off a 23 just making an honorable mention.

Last but not least, Kaleb Luthy shot a practice round of 23. I won't say what he had for the actual league score.

The colored target didn't stand a chance. Kent Shaver got it...Wyatt Ayres got it...Brian Desulis got it...THEY ALL GOT IT...

Sometimes a damaged target is a good thing. I'm here to tell you that the area Illinois State High School Clay Target Teams did just that.
The Varsity Team consisted of Zach Wenger, Cole Worley, Kinley Price, Dominic Shaw and Tyson Trone. This team operated like a well oiled machine. Kinley Price took 1st place in the Female Varsity category with a 97. The whole varsity team was only 8 targets out of a 3rd place finish. Cole Worley shot 3 perfect rounds and ended up with a 10 place finish for his 97. Zach Wenger (R/I) shot 96 and that put him at a 15th place finish. Levi Brierton from the Brown County team also shot a 96. He was awarded a 20th place based on whomever had the longest string of broken targets from last to first.
BCA placed 1st in the Novice Division.
Reid Wellenkamp (Beardstown BCA) finished 1st in the Male novice class. Mandy Frank(BC) placed 2nd, Re*****on Bunch (R/I) took 3rd, and Layla Tabor (BCA) took 5th, and Piper Shaw (R/I) took 20th in the Female section of this division.
(R/I) had Carolina Demaree finishing 8th and Layna Garthaus (BC) with 15th in the Junior Female division. The male side had Taygen Hohenbery (BC) at 9th. Top finishers (R/I) was a tie for 12th between Garrett Anderson and Jackson Yoder.
The website was a bit difficult to navigate so that is my excuse if I missed anyone.
I also forgot to include the perfect rounds.
