Greenway Squeaks By Rush City Varsity Tigers In Pitchers Duel

Both teams were strong in the circle on Tuesday, but Greenway was just a little bit stronger at the plate in their 2-1 victory over Rush City Varsity Tigers. Kendal Pillar started the game for Rush City Varsity Tigers and recorded 18 outs.

Pillar struck out 11 batters on the day. The hurler also surrendered one hit and two runs over six innings while walking one.

Greenway got on the board in the third inning after R Schoonmaker tripled, scoring two runs.

Ava Johnson earned the win for Greenway. The starting pitcher surrendered six hits and one run (zero earned) over seven innings, striking out 10 and walking one.

Pillar led Rush City Varsity Tigers with one run batted in. The pitcher went 1-for-3 on the day. Cailyn Glenna led Rush City Varsity Tigers with two hits in four at bats. Rush City Varsity Tigers were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Glenna had the most chances in the field with 11.

Schoonmaker went 1-for-3 at the plate and led the team with two runs batted in.

Rush City Varsity Tigers Loses Despite Out Hitting Esko Varsity Softball Team ‘26

Even though Rush City Varsity Tigers collected 10 hits to Esko Varsity Softball Team ‘26's seven, they still fell 16-9 on Tuesday at 935 13th Ave NE. Ashlyn Simmons, Cailyn Glenna, and Kendal Pillar each collected two hits for Rush City Varsity Tigers.

Despite the loss, Rush City Varsity Tigers did collect 10 hits in the high-scoring affair. Unfortunately, Esko Varsity Softball Team ‘26 had seven hits on the way to victory.

Rush City Varsity Tigers got on the board in the top of the first inning after Addy Antonson grounded out, and Lola Mold doubled to right field, each scoring one run.

Esko Varsity Softball Team ‘26 flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the third, scoring eight runs on one hit to take the lead, 9-2. The biggest blow in the inning was a fielder's choice by Kadence Ghann that drove in two.

Keira Leach earned the win for Esko Varsity Softball Team ‘26. The hurler allowed 10 hits and nine runs (three earned) over seven innings, striking out three and walking three. Pillar took the loss for Rush City Varsity Tigers. The pitcher went six innings, giving up 16 runs (three earned) on seven hits, striking out nine and walking six.

Rush City Varsity Tigers tallied 10 hits in the game. Simmons and Antonson each drove in two runs for Rush City Varsity Tigers.

Addy Johnson led Esko Varsity Softball Team ‘26 with three hits in five at bats. Elly Barta, Leach, and Ghann each drove in two runs for Esko Varsity Softball Team ‘26. Clara Swanson collected two hits for Esko Varsity Softball Team ‘26 in five at bats. Lucy Barta led Esko Varsity Softball Team ‘26 with two walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, accumulating six walks for the game. Swanson, Johnson, Hannah Roemer, and Barta each stole multiple bases for Esko Varsity Softball Team ‘26. Esko Varsity Softball Team ‘26 ran wild on the base paths, piling up 12 stolen bases for the game. Esko Varsity Softball Team ‘26 turned one double play in the game.

Kendal Pillar Leads Rush City Varsity Tigers Past Mora Varsity Mustangs

Kendal Pillar struck out 16 batters as the pitcher led Rush City Varsity Tigers past Mora Varsity Mustangs 4-2 on Thursday. Pillar surrendered seven hits and two runs over seven innings while walking one.

Ashlyn Simmons, Megan Nelson, and Emmalyn Agnes at the bottom of Rush City Varsity Tigers's lineup combined for four of the team's eight hits in their victory. They scored three runs and drove in three.

An error put Mora Varsity Mustangs on the board in the top of the first.

Rush City Varsity Tigers took the lead in the bottom of the second. Agnes doubled, scoring two runs, to give Rush City Varsity Tigers the edge, 3-2.

Rush City Varsity Tigers scored one run in the bottom of the sixth on a solo home run to center field by Simmons.

Josie Brasch took the loss for Mora Varsity Mustangs. The starter went six innings, allowing four runs on eight hits, striking out nine and walking four.

Agnes led Rush City Varsity Tigers with two runs batted in from the number nine spot in the lineup. Agnes went 1-for-3 on the day. Rush City Varsity Tigers's Simmons, the number eight hitter, led Rush City Varsity Tigers with two hits in three at bats.

Leadoff hitter M Schwarzbauer led Mora Varsity Mustangs with two hits in three at bats. Mora Varsity Mustangs were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. J Kastenbauer made the most plays with nine.

Kendal Pillar got her 5th home run of the season and Lola Mold got her first home run of the season in our first section game against Pine City. Second section game against MLWR and Lola got her second home run and it was a grand slam! Kendal also pitched her second perfect game of the season! The girls were locked in today and are ready to hit the road on Thursday!

Lola Mold’s Big Day Propels Rush City Varsity Tigers Past Moose Lake/Willow River Varsity Rebels

Lola Mold drove in four runs on three hits to lead Rush City Varsity Tigers past Moose Lake/Willow River Varsity Rebels 10-0 on Tuesday. In the sixth inning, Mold hit a grand slam to center field.

Kendal Pillar struck out 12 batters on the day. The right-handed pitcher also surrendered zero hits and zero runs over six innings while walking none.

Rush City Varsity Tigers were the first to get on the board in the first when Pillar hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run.

Rush City Varsity Tigers added to their early lead in the bottom of the third inning after Addy Antonson doubled down the left field line, and Cailyn Glenna grounded out, each scoring one run.

Jessie Volk took the loss for Moose Lake/Willow River Varsity Rebels. The hurler went five and one-third innings, surrendering nine runs on 14 hits, striking out seven and walking two.

Rush City Varsity Tigers accumulated 15 hits in the game. Antonson, Mold, and Natalie Rood each collected three hits for Rush City Varsity Tigers. Glenna and Pillar each collected multiple hits for Rush City Varsity Tigers. Rush City Varsity Tigers were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Glenna had the most chances in the field with 12.
