A buddy gave Wes a climbing stand for me to try, and the price was right. I’ve never used a portable climbing stand before, so today was my first chance to learn how they work.

One thing Wes has learned over the years is that seeing more deer doesn’t always mean having a better opportunity. Sometimes the best setup is in a tighter spot where your odds of getting a shot opportunity are much higher.

Picking the spot 🦌

After finding a lot of deer sign on the property, we started looking for the best place to hang a trail camera. Hoping this transition area between the swamp and hardwoods tells us a little more about how the deer are using the property.

We spent some time exploring a new property today looking for deer sign and a spot to hang a trail camera. Plenty of trails, bedding, and things to learn. Excited to see what shows up on camera.

100 days until deer season 🦌

Today marks 100 days until deer season in Minnesota, and this will be my first bow season. I’ve got 100 days to keep getting better.

Block out the noise 🏹

Last night was a tough one for our baseball team. Still thankful we’ve got another opportunity in front of us. One thing Wes has taught me is how the bow can help block out the noise and bring your focus back to what’s right in front of you. That’s where we’re at this week—just focus on the dot.

Eli’s archery lesson 🏹🦌

Eli gave us a quick lesson on where to shoot on a deer… then hit the target in the back end and said he was totally aiming for that 😂

Fun night at the field ⚾

Really fun night at the field with the Twins bringing the Target Field experience out to Blaine. Great night for our players and families, and even better… the boys got the win and our pitcher threw a no-hitter.
