In a time when hunters have more technology than ever, it still amazes me that some bucks slip through the cracks and make it to this kind of age class.

Youth hunter Jacob made two well-placed shots on this flared-top bull. At just 17 years old, Jacob was already a seasoned elk hunter with multiple bulls under his belt.

This bull was especially unique with matching inner flyers on both beams — a really cool feature you don’t see very often. Unfortunately, he had already broken one flyer, but he was still a great bull.

Congrats Jacob!
