🐡As adults, it’s easy to forget just how much your little one is needing to learn each and every day, with EACH new activity. Many times, my swim students come to me still needing to learn how to intentionally blow air out of their nose, what it means to hold their breath, why we need to breathe, and many other concepts that may appear obvious and basic to us, but realistically, they really aren’t. They’re also still forming habits and overcoming fear. It isn’t fair to expect our kids to understand things that we’ve been doing for decades.
This is a reminder to be patient with your kids. They are doing and taking in a lot more than meets the eye. This is also a good reference of things you can do during bath time, on the bed, or on some fluffy grass. You should do these things whether you’re enrolled in lessons or not. The little things do matter. Life is a web of learning - you can start anything from anywhere.
