Tough battle tonight for our Greene Rookie All-Stars!

The boys played a hard-fought game against Northside and came up just short, falling 7-6 in a nail-biter. We couldn’t be prouder of the effort, heart, and determination!

The tournament isn’t over yet! Our team is back in action tomorrow night as they take on Rockville at 6:00 PM on Field 3.

☀️ A Huge Thank You to Ruckersville Lowe's Home Improvement☀️

With the extreme warm temperatures expected during the remainder of our District 5 Rookie All-Star Tournament, we want to extend a sincere thank you to our local Lowe’s for donating these water coolers for our dugouts.

These coolers will help keep players, coaches, umpires, and volunteers hydrated as we navigate some very hot summer baseball days. Providing a safe environment for everyone at the ballpark is a top priority, and this generous donation comes at the perfect time!

As a volunteer-run nonprofit organization, community partners like Lowe’s make a tremendous difference. We are incredibly grateful for their support of Greene County Youth Center and the families we serve.

Our Greene Rookie All-Stars opened District Tournament play with a big 13-7 victory over Fluvanna tonight!

The boys came out ready to play, showing great teamwork, hustle, and determination from the first pitch to the final out. We’re proud of the way they represented Greene and look forward to seeing them back on the field tomorrow evening.

📸 Sports Photographer Needed – Tournament Opportunity!

We are looking for a sports photographer to be onsite at our upcoming inaugural Rookie Coach Pitch State Tournament to capture action shots of the games and offer photos for purchase directly to families.

This is a great opportunity to connect with a large group of families and players while providing a valuable keepsake service. The photographer would be responsible for photographing games throughout the event and offering an easy way for parents to view and purchase images.

Event Details:

⚾️ Rookie Coach Pitch State Tournament
👕 10 teams, est. 150 players
🗓️ Dates: June 24-27
📍 Location: GCYC, Ruckersville, VA
🌟High volume of games and player participation = strong photo sales potential!

Thank you for the time, energy, patience, and heart you pour into our players each season. From practices and games to encouraging words and life lessons, your impact goes far beyond the field.
