Finial season prep for my farm. Brassicas was planted a week ago.

Alright so I have one finial buck tag left for the year. My options are

1. hunt the lease that on on for a 130 or bigger.
2. Hunt public ground for a mature buck. Keep in mind the public around me is heavily pressured.

Public Lands hunt that has been 3 years in the making ended in 3 hours. Game plan was to get up high away from the pressure. I made it to the top of the ridge line about 7:30. It was so foggy I sat down to let it lift. Probably 10 mins later I heard deer grunting. 3 does go darting by. I watched them head up the ridge where I wanted to be about another 150 yards. About 15 mins after they went by I walked up to the ridge where I last saw them. While I was there looking for a tree I was walking around grunting and scraping leaves. Then I heard a buck grunt down the ridge I just came from so I started grunting back. After about 10 mins of exchanging grunts he came up the ridge below me giving me about a 50 yard shot.

Sundays are for reseting the hunting gear and strategizing for the upcoming week. I’m headed to Ohio this week. Still got 4 buck tags left.

Update from last night. This is the buck I’ve been watching since July. Came in and gave me a 30 yard shot. Video will be up in a few days. Big shout out to Vector and Iron Will Outfitters. Amazing products
