Catchers- Join Kyle Weller and guest instructor Tim Gradoville for an afternoon learning how to become better receivers, blockers, and throwers from behind the plate! We are honored to have Tim, a former Reading and Philadelphia Phillies Catcher, join us for this clinic. Tim was voted Baseball America Best Minor League Defensive Catcher 2002-03-06, was awarded the Reading Phillies Gold Glove Award in 2007, and has 20+ years in professional catching instruction and clinics.

I recently had the opportunity to represent the Philadelphia Phillies at the Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association (MLBPAA) for Youth Clinic. Had so much fun sharing the field with my fellow alumni, where we passed along our knowledge to motivated boys and girls from around the Wilmington, DE area. Nothing better than seeing the next generation of ball players at work!

Although I may not post anymore, my winters have been filled with students who not only put in the work during training sessions, but consistently throughout the year. I was SO thrilled to see Ava’s recognition as I’ve seen her exemplify dedication to sport, discipline toward achieving her goals and positive attitude over the past 5+ years. This recognition was hard-earned but so well deserved. Congrats Bainbridge family! 🥎

Great article written by a fellow catcher, Benji Johnson. Even with the new rule change that has been put in the last few years (one which I don't agree with), catchers still need to learn how to put themselves in a position on plays at the plate to protect themselves!

Do you want to get the ball to the power position this quickly? Repetition, repetition, repetition! I do this same drill with all of my clients at each lesson. Don't wait until 2 weeks before tryouts to "knock the rust off", come in this fall and winter and train with me!

Great article about a great player and teammate. Just goes to show you don't have to be the most talented on the field to make huge contributions to your team!

He doesn't hit much and hasn't for years. He doesn't play much, either. Nonetheless, here's a claim for backup catcher David Ross as one of the Cubs' most valuable players entering the playoffs.

You see more and more current and former big leaguers speaking up about how specialization in one sport is not the best idea. The increased arm injuries at all levels of baseball are very alarming and it's time for coaches and parents to start doing something about it.

A much-needed plea to parents.
