After 20 years, we have some difficult but important news to share regarding SBR.
Since 2006, Steve has had the privilege of driving the 17B for Claire & Jane Ritter of Selinsgrove, PA, with Sunny Hill Farm Trucking proudly supporting the team throughout the years. What began as a driver and car-owner relationship grew into something much more than racing.
Over those 20 years, weโve shared countless miles, race nights, tough nights, big wins, and so many incredible memories. Together, weโve celebrated a few dozen victories, but the friendships, experiences, and moments shared along the way are what we will remember most.
After many years as a car owner, Claire has made the decision to step away from team ownership. With that decision, the Sunny Hill Farm Racing operation, and the 17B as we have known it for the past 20 years, will officially come to a close.
While saying goodbye to the 17B era is certainly bittersweet, we want to make one thing very clear:

We donโt know exactly what the future will look like, and we donโt have all the answers right now. What we do know is that we are actively exploring every opportunity and every avenue available to continue building a 410 program for Steve.
We are open to new sponsors, partnerships, car-owner opportunities, and any other avenues that could help us find the right path forward. Whether that means building a new team of our own, joining another organization, finding new partners, or something we havenโt even considered yet, we are open to what comes next.
And regardless of what the future looks like, ๐พ๐ก๐๐๐ง๐ ๐ฌ๐๐ก๐ก ๐๐ก๐ฌ๐๐ฎ๐จ ๐๐ ๐ ๐ฅ๐๐ง๐ฉ ๐ค๐ ๐๐ฝ๐.
For 20 years, Claire and Jan have been an incredibly important part of Steveโs racing career and our family. That doesnโt change with the end of the 17B. We will forever be grateful for everything they have done, the opportunities they gave Steve, and the memories we were fortunate enough to create together.
To Claire and Jan โ thank you for 20 incredible years. Thank you for believing in Steve, standing beside us through the highs and lows, and becoming so much more than a car owner and his wife. You became family, and that will always mean more to us than words can express.
We also want to thank every sponsor, crew member, friend, and fan who has supported the 17B and SBR throughout these years. Every person who has played a part has helped make the last 20 years so special.
