“Golf is this thing where 18 times they set you up with a challenge. They put obstacles in and hazards in your way. You have to try to navigate your way safely. you have to do as much as you can, but you learn that if you try to do more than you can, you can’t do that, and there will be things that will happen.
All of the things that I like about life in general are on the golf course. I look at nature and all the things that really means something to me. Golf requires you to experience all those different things but then requires you to block all those things out and focus on the task at hand and you don’t have the opportunity of doing it again. You’re going to do it once and you’re going to live with how that turns out. If you can get that on the golf course, you can translate that everywhere. You can have three magnificent shots in a row and that has no bearing on if you can three putt. You can’t afford to be high or low. You have to stay focused and that translates all the time. “
