Tracksmith, CT Run Co. On Hand As Mendoza, Hanlon Win Titles

ROXBURY – Tracksmith made a weekend journey to the winding roads of Litchfield County, with a stop at the Litchfield Hills Road Race, which was the brainchild of the late Boston Globe sportswriter Joe Concannon, whose other claim to fame was being the co-author of the autobiography of four-time Boston Marathon champ Bill Rodgers, the winner of the first Litchfield Hills race.

Thanksgiving Day Charity Race To Raise Money For Ambulance Association, Scholarship Foundation

ROXBURY –
The ninth annual Roxbury Road Runners Club Thanksgiving Day Charity Race will provide runners with a rolling 3.1-mile course to navigate and generate funds for two local civic groups.

Registration is open and will be available online until Race Day at 8:50am.
Registration is $10 (plus fees) until Wednesday night November 25th and $15 (plus fees) on Race Day.

Proceeds will go to the Roxbury Ambulance and the Roxbury
Scholarship Foundation. Last year the race series donated $1,000 to each organization through the proceeds from the race and monies from its treasury.

The race series also will be collecting non-perishable goods for the Roxbury Food

Deming Outruns Cappiello Again

ROXBURY – The temperature was cooler this time – actually in the low 50s, chilly for late May – as the leaders sprinted through the first half mile, shoulder to shoulder, after the first right-hand turn as they entered the slow, steady descent to the one-mile mark.

We will send out a full debriefing in a couple of days, but Thank-You to everyone to came to this year's Roxbury Mile I (we have a record turnout!).
