So, yesterday I visited a camp at Lakepoint in Emerson, Georgia. College Camps. And, even in 2023, we still have Clinicians instructing Officials to have CONSISTENCY. Meaning... "If it is a block on this end of the court, make sure it is a block on the other end." THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE TRAINING. We can't make rulings on this end, based on contact that occurs previously on the other end. Our goal as Officials is NOT consistency; it is CONSISTENT ACCURATE RULINGS. ACCURACY is NOT debatable, since the Rules Book is now very clearly written. There is NO ACCURACY outside the Rules Book. And... "We can't make accurate rulings, if we don't know the rules."
