Y’all welcome Melvin Smith to the Arete Crew 💪
qua1704 is going into his senior year at Mesquite Poteet High School. His goal is to play baseball as long as he possibly can.

Melvin plays 1B, 3B and pitches as well.

Our training objective over the next 12 weeks is to increase his maximum strength and power output while adding some much needed mass to his frame.

Exit Velo: 76mph

Sumo Deadlift: 265lbs
Bench Press: 135lbs

Y’all welcome Julian Barbosa to the !

is going into his senior year at Wylie East High School. He is primarily a pitcher but also plays in the outfield as well. His goal is to reach his full potential on the field so he can earn a scholarship to play baseball at the collegiate level next year!

Our training objective over the next few months is going to be focused on improving his explosive strength, power output and maximal strength.

Starting metrics:

Sumo deadlift: 385lbs
Box Squat: 315lbs
Transverse broad jump: 7’
Vertical: 22”
Body weight: 166lbs
Exit Velo: 80mph
Throwing Velo: 80mph

This kid is a dual-threat WR/DB with serious tools — now we’re building the engine to match.

Our summer mission:

Add quality mass to that posterior chain (glutes, hams, low back)

Y’all welcome Jordan Casillas to the !

is a primarily a catcher but also plays SS, 3B and pitches as well. He is going into his sophomore at Rowlett High School, and is determined to reach his full potential on the field so he can play baseball at the highest level he is capable of.

Our training objective over the next few months is going to be focused on improving his explosive strength, power output and speed.

This dude is already an amazing baseball player. I can’t wait to see what he’s going to be able to do on the field after starting a proper strength and performance program.

🇺🇸 This Memorial Day, Monday the 25th, we gather not just to sweat, but to honor those who served, and push past our limits together. 🇺🇸

We are hosting the legendary Murph workout, and we want the entire Arete Crew there!

A Murph is a 1 mile run, 100 pull-ups, 200 pushups, 300 squats and another 1 mile run.

Hotdogs will be provided (weather permitting) so let me know if you will be able to make it!
