BUCKWHEAT EXPRESS AND ROWLESBURG

The folks at Buckwheat Express are considering new bus routes for the future. The service now includes Terra Alta, Kingwood, Reedsville, Masontown, Morgantown, with some service to Tunnelton, Newburg, and Fellowsville. Rowlesburg, Macomber, Etam, and Aurora are left out. I had contacted Buckwheat Express some months ago to lobby for service to the Rowlesburg area. They seemed receptive and told me they were studying the entire system. They have hired a consulting company to conduct interviews and help redesign the system.

This would be a good time to contact the Buckwheat Express (304) 329-0464 and let them know of your interest. Imagine getting on board in Rowlesburg and connecting to buses to Morgantown Airport, WVU Medical Center, and Mon General Hospital. Getting to Kingwood can be tough at times if you don't have a car or your car isn't runnng. You could take a bus ifrom Rowlesburg to Walgreens, the courthouse, and Walmart.

OLD WATER PLANT AND AMBULANCE BUILDING FOR SALE

We are planning to list the old water plant for sale. Before doing so, I wanted folks in the area to have chance to buy it. The sale will include the old ambulance building, which is a separate address but on the same parcel as the water plant. Both have new metal roofs installed within the last five years.
