WE ARE CLOSED FOR THE SEASON, AND WILL REOPEN IN THE SPRING. THANKS EVERYONE FOR SUPPORTING US FOR A FIFTH SEASON. WE DO THIS FOR THE COMMUNITY AND FOLKS WHO VISIT.

ONE CHANGE FOR NEXT YEAR. WE WILL CONTINUE TO SHUTTLE FOR THE RIVER AND TRAIL, AND WE WILL RENT TUBES, RAFTS, AND PARTY BOATS. WE HAVE A FEW SIT-ON KAYAKS. WE SOLD THE REST OF THE KAYAKS TO A YOUNG COUPLE IN DEEP CREEK.

WE WILL CONTINUE THE TRADITION AS LONG AS FOLKS NEED US. RIGHT NOW, FEW OUTFITTERS WANT TO DO THE SHUTTLES. WE'RE HAPPY TO DO IT.

FLOAT TRIPS ON THE ROWLESBURG END OF THE CHEAT RIVER WATER TRAIL ARE HARD TO ARRANGE AND FEW, IF ANY, OUTFITTERS WANT THAT BUSINESS. THAT'S WHY WE WILL CONTINUE DOING SO AS LONG AS THERE IS A NEED.

Cheat River is one of North America's great free-flowing streams. From Rowlesburg south, there is the 26-mile "lake" called the Upper Cheat River Water Trail--all flat water and wilderness. North is white water in the Narrows and Canyon. The Cheat is excellent for activities such as floating, kayaking, swimming, and fishing. We have it all covered.
