The YoungStar camp focuses on techniques and skills to train young athletes to be faster, quicker, stronger and more agile while simultaneously building more endurance. We put a strong emphasis on highlighting the importance of stretching and how to stretch correctly. Stretching is sometimes down played or completely left out. Stretching is a key to health, speed, and explosion needed in all sports. Next.... we put a ton of effort into MOTIVATING our athletes. We believe Positive Motivation is the most important key when working with and training our youth. Our trainers will also work at building and shaping your athletes attitude and character. We mentor and encourage them both on and off the field in order to prepare their bodies and mind to perform like champions. HOW WE TRAIN:
· We use resistance bands, bungee cords, cone drills, agility ladder, speed hurdles, parachutes, weight vest and weight sleds (weight sleds limitations: ONLY for young men in 8th grade and above).
- We use the Vertimax resistance machine
· We teach the art of running; the proper mechanics, explosion, and top end speed. We also focus and practice body control exercises and drills that translate into any sport, position or age group. The camp’s drill will enhance the ability of an athlete’s quickness, reaction time and complete coordination skills.
· Stretching (Dynamic & Static)
· NO weight training (body weight only)
