Austin Anarchy is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit Roller Derby league based in Austin, Texas. We strive to advance the sport of roller derby by providing an inclusive environment for competitive athleticism. Austin Anarchy is committed to professionalism and camaraderie; placing focus on engaging our league members, our officials, our fans and our supporting community with courtesy and respect. ter owned and operated flat-track roller derby league and proud members of the Men's Roller Derby Association (www.mensrollerderbyassociation.com). Austin Anarchy proudly partners with other Austin-based inclusive non-profit organizations such Texas Roller Girls, Out Youth and more. Austin Anarchy, in conjunction with Men’s Roller Derby Association (MRDA) and pursuant to its mission of promoting men’s roller derby, does not and will not discriminate based on race, color, religion (creed), gender, gender expression, age, national origin (ancestry), disability, marital status, sexual orientation, or military status, in any of its activities or operations. Austin Anarchy does not and will not differentiate between members who identify male and those who identify as a nonbinary gender (including but not limited to genderqueer, trans-masculine, transfeminine, and a-gender) and does not and will not set minimum standards of masculinity for its membership or interfere with the privacy of its members for the purposes of charter eligibility. Our hearts are heavy today as we have been asked to share some devasting news. Benjamin “BluRay” Santos passed away Sunday, June 28th.

Many of you have had the pleasure to know him, skate with him, and see the way his energy lifts the spirit of those around him. He was an outstanding derby athlete and leader on the junior team that went on to play with Austin Anarchy as an adult skater.

BlueRay grew up looking forward to being on Austin Anarchy and the whole team was so happy to finally take him in. His attitude was always joyful and he was always grateful for an opportunity to grow.

BluRay continued to be involved with the league as time allowed, including stepping in to help officiate recently at Summer Smash; his cheerful and generous spirit will definitely be missed and remembered by all.

We send our love and support to his Mother Local Reff and Rocking City Jr Coach Mitts and their family during this tragic time. Our entire derby community grieves with them. A memorial fund and website is in the process of being set up, and once it is ready, we will share that information with you again in case you are interested in making a contribution.
