Starfleet Neighborhood Advisory

Attention citizens of the Winston Sector:

It has come to the attention of Starfleet Command that some neighboring planetary systems remain deeply concerned with what occurs on our 40 acres of commercial territory of over 50 years.

As a reminder, if you attended a township meeting specifically to attempt to bust my balls, and then decide to call either my communicator or Galaxy Princess Crystal’s communicator to inform us once again that you disapprove of what we’re doing over here… there is a strong probability that phone call will not be the most productive diplomatic mission in Federation history.

For the record:

✅ Yes, we take in strays of all kinds.
✅ Yes, our parking lot has slowly evolved into a refuge center for wandering friends, race fans, and assorted space travelers.
✅ Yes, traffic around here is only going to get more interesting.
✅ Yes, we got a brand-new road, and frankly, it’s pretty awesome.

Instead of calling to complain, feel free to stop by and see the progress being made. There are exciting projects happening everywhere you look, and this weekend you can catch racing action Friday and Saturday.

While you’re here, be sure to wave to our neighbor on the southwest corner the one who parks a semi in the middle of the road. He’s become such a regular part of the story that we’re considering adding him to the Winston Speedway tour guide script. Rumor has it he’s still not entirely thrilled with the situation but did ask for free season passes twice.

Live long, prosper, and try not to monitor your neighbors more closely than the Romulans.

Starfleet Weather Advisory – Winston Sector

Attention Winston Nation:

For those passing by tonight and noticing that Old Glory is not flying over the speedway, have no fearwe have not surrendered, switched sides, or negotiated a peace treaty with the Klingons.

Due to the high winds moving through this sector, Starfleet Command has temporarily brought the American flag inside for safekeeping. We figured it would be better to protect the colors than have them attempt an unscheduled mission to Canada.

The flag may be down for the night, but our patriotism remains at full power. As soon as the storm passes and conditions improve, the colors will once again be raised proudly over Winston Speedway.

We believe in freedom, horsepower, and occasionally avoiding unnecessary battles with Mother Nature.

The colors are merely taking shelter. They will rise again at first opportunity.

Hey everyone! We have noticed that so many people have been enjoying the pit overlook from the deck but that the visibility isn’t the best due to the deck being built with 2x4’s for extra strength. So we have decided to add 5 new galaxy port holes (aka windows) for a better view!! We are loving the feedback and hope we can continue to build a racetrack worthy of becoming a staple location for each and every one of you! See you Friday and Saturday!

🚀 Captain’s Log – Stardate 8 June 2026

The Winston Speedway Engineering Corps is pleased to report another successful advancement in our mission.

The frame for our new scoreboard has now been installed and is standing proudly over the speedway. While there is still wiring, programming, and final testing to complete, we are hopeful that the scoreboard will be fully operational in time for our July 3rd America’s 250th Birthday Celebration and Fireworks Spectacular.

Once online, this new piece of technology will help keep fans informed with running order and race information.

Every week, another piece of the puzzle falls into place. We appreciate everyone’s patience and support as we continue upgrading Winston Speedway for racers and fans alike.

The Federation grows stronger. The technology improves. And the mission continues.

Attention Winston Speedway racers and fans:

After consulting the racing sensors and reviewing the galactic schedule, we have made a slight course correction for Friday, June 12th.

With the Midwest Dirt Compact Touring Series appearing at I-96 Speedway for their outstanding Autism Awareness Night, we feel it's important to support a phenomenal cause and give teams the opportunity to participate in that special event.

As a result, the Cyber Stocks will have the night off on June 12th.

Since the Cybers are already scheduled to race on our June 13th Sprint Show, that event will serve as a full points night for the division. This adjustment allows our Cyber competitors to support a great cause, avoid back-to-back commitments, and still have an opportunity to earn valuable championship points.

Sometimes even Starfleet has to adjust its flight path for the greater good.

We appreciate everyone's understanding and look forward to seeing the Cyber Stocks back in action on Saturday, June 13th alongside the GLTS Traditional Sprints for what promises to be an incredible night of racing and maybe some destruction and booms but no promises.

Captain’s Log – Stardate 06.04.2026

Well folks, we parked the Cadet Shuttle on the wrong side of the property ONE TIME.

ONE.

TIME.

When we came back, the entire bus had been vandalized from bumper to bumper with spray paint, graffiti, artwork, racing logos, and all kinds of suspicious markings.

The strange part is the vandals were apparently very talented.

They color matched everything perfectly.

They somehow knew exactly what design we wanted.

They even had enough courtesy to clear coat the whole thing when they were done.

Security footage is still under review, but our leading suspect is the paint shop we hired.

The investigation continues.

Until then, Starfleet Command reminds everyone that parking on the wrong side of Winston Speedway may result in your vehicle being completely customized by highly skilled criminals.

Captain’s Log – Stardate 06.03.2026

The USS Winston continues its mission of rebuilding and improving the facility one project at a time.

Today, Starfleet Engineering successfully completed the installation of a brand-new American flag pole and proudly raised a new American flag over Winston Speedway.

As a track built by veterans, families, racers, and hardworking Americans, we believe there is no better sight than Old Glory flying over the speedway.

Every race night, as we pause for the National Anthem, that flag will stand as a reminder of the freedoms that allow us to gather, race, compete, and enjoy this great sport together.

To all who have served, are currently serving, and to the families who support them, thank you.

The colors are flying high over the Winston sector.

God Bless America, and we’ll see you at the track.
