Live drilling half guard passes. Top “wins” with a pass or sub. Bottom “wins” with a sweep or sub. But the truth is no one here cares if you “win” or “lose” — try the techniques we just learned or reviewed. Get better than you were yesterday! Be safe with your training partner — we all have to go to work tomorrow, too!

Join us in congratulating Matt on his promotion to purple belt. Matt trained at another gym, life happened and he took some time off. But he’s back at with us and putting the time in.

Next up is KJ! He just graduated — earned a master’s in speech pathology — which will help him communicate with the rest of us knuckledraggers! Professor striped him up too; got a full zebra on his belt now.

And last but not least, Coach Jeff added a stripe to Florian’s belt and his son John’s belt.

Full class tonight! Couple new faces here and brave souls taking a trial class (if you are thinking about trying it too - just do it!). Also good to see Professor Big Mike back on the mats — adding his wisdom to teaching and strictly technical rolls with upper belts.
