Hi, Iām Debra Massey, a certified yoga teacher (RYT-200) with a passion for helping others discover the transformative power of yoga. My teaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that yoga is for every bodyāwhether youāre a seasoned practitioner or stepping onto the mat for the very first time. My classes are designed to meet you where you are, blending styles like power yoga, Yin, restorative,
and vinyasa to create a practice thatās as unique as you are. I emphasize accessibility and adaptability, encouraging the use of props and modifications to make every pose work for your body today. To help you leave class feeling stronger, more balanced, and maybe even a little lighterāinside and out. I didnāt set out to become a yoga teacher; my journey began as a personal exploration. But through teaching, I discovered how much joy I find in guiding others. Whether itās helping someone achieve a pose they thought was impossible or watching a student find calm in their practice, those moments fuel my passion for this work. Yoga, for me, is more than just movementāitās a way to connect with yourself and the world around you. In every session, I strive to create a supportive and welcoming space where you can explore, grow, and simply be. And yes, I know all too well that not every day feels like a perfect yoga day (hello, Revolved Triangle), but thatās the beauty of the journey. When Iām not leading classes, youāll likely find me hiking, reading, or recharging with a cup of tea. My background in marketing and my work as a Grant Specialist in victim assistance have shaped my approach to teaching, emphasizing compassion, adaptability, and the power of connection. As your yoga teacher, my mission is to help you find what works for youāwhether thatās building strength, cultivating calm, or rediscovering joy. Letās roll out the mat and create something meaningful together, one breath at a time.
