My New Year’s resolution this year is pretty simple: spend less time on social media and focus more on gratitude. Today, I want to start by sending a heartfelt thank you to my Kaia sisters.
Last year, like so many of us, my resolution was to lose weight and get in better shape. Thanks to the amazing women at Kaia, I can proudly say that I not only kept that resolution in 2024—I’m planning on sticking with it for life.
I’ll never forget the end of 2023, when I was feeling defeated and sent a text to Megan Simpson, the owner of Kaia, saying, “I want to cancel my membership.” Her reply? Pure gold: “I won’t let you quit on yourself. You joined for a reason. Let’s work out tomorrow.”
She was right. It’s so easy as we get older to find a million excuses to neglect ourselves. But Kaia has reminded me that self-love, self-care, and quality girl time are just as important as any to-do list.
My health—physically, mentally, and emotionally—depends on it.
Do I still try to talk myself out of going to the gym? Oh, you bet I do. But I always remind myself of how I feel when I leave the gym—energized, stronger, and a little less likely to yell at my kids. 😉
What I do know is this: my clothes fit better, my mind is calmer, and I feel more confident and at peace with myself than ever before. Kaia has changed me in ways I didn’t even know I needed, and for that, I can’t thank you enough.
You ladies keep me accountable, remind me of my small victories, and most importantly, you make the gym feel like a second family.
Thank you, Kaia, for reminding me I’m worth the time and effort, and for helping me become the best version of myself.
