Aikido & Healing Arts of Roseville is a martial arts dojo and wellness center framed by the art and principles of Aikido which was founded in Japan by Morihei Ueshiba in the late 1920s through the 1930s. Aikido is often translated as "the way of harmonious spirit" where at its core the art teaches self-defense based on non-violence and the preservation of life. Aikido techniques typically comprise

joint locks or throws requiring very little strength which lends its adoption to men, women, and children.

Congratulations to Abigail and Lyla On earning their7th Kyu in Aikido!🥋
This was their first official milestone On what will One day, be their journey tour, black belt, and they couldn’t have represented the spirit of Aikido any better.
What impressed us most wasn’t just their technique, it was their dedication, perseverance, and the way they supported one another. When it came time for their examination, they wanted to be uke for each other, Demonstrating the trust, friendship, and teamwork that make Aikido so much more than a martial art. learning, practicing and encouraging one another has been truly inspiring. They stepped onto the mat with confidence, embraced the challenge and earned their accomplishment through hard work.
We are incredibly proud of you both. Congratulations Abigail and Liyla!! This is just the beginning and we can’t wait to watch you. Continue to grow, both as martial artits And as young leaders on the mat.

Last night our community witnessed an outstanding Shodan test by Jim San! We witnessed power without strength and beautiful flow! His hard-work paid off. Thank you Jim for everything you do for our Aiki community. You are truly the best!
